Butt Hinges

Butt hinges are the most common type of hinge. They feature two identical leaves, one of which is fixed to the door frame or jamb, and the other is fixed to the door itself. When the door is closed, the two leaves will sit flush with one another, leaving the knuckle of the hinge exposed. They are often used on cabinet doors, which sometimes leads to them being referred to as cabinet butt hinges.

We supply butt hinges in full pairs and 1 ½ pairs, in a range of finishes including BZP and self-colour light steel, brass, and chrome plated. They’re also available in a variety of sizes, both imperial and metric to suit a range of projects.
