Threaded Rod - UNF

About UNF Threaded Rods

UNF (Unified Fine Thread) threaded rod is available in 3-foot lengths in mild steel with a self-colour finish. The Unified series of threads were adopted by the UK, the USA and Canada during the 1940s; they were commonly used until the 1970s when they were superseded by metric threads.

UNF threads have a 60-degree thread flank angle and more threads per inch than a UNC thread. Like other Thin threaded rods, they are essentially a metal bar made from mild steel or brass that has a helical thread all the way along its length. Small, Thick and Large threaded rods are manufactured to be installed in areas where they are subjected to high levels of tension and pressure.

Customers should be aware that threaded rods have various names, and are also commonly called threaded bar, allthread and studding.
