Structural Screws

Our structural screws from Samac feature a wafer head with a Torx drive. Each screw has a natural brown ACQ corrosion-resistant finish and a milling thread.

The thread is partially serrated with a type 17 cutting point. The serrated part of the thread on these construction screws helps them to bite into the substrate. In turn, this will allow them to resist vibrations, preventing them from loosening over time. Structural timber screws will also develop and maintain high pull-out resistance over time due to the nature of the thread.

The torx wafer head also helps to give increased clamping capabilities. The large diameter of the head provides a large load-bearing surface area and can also countersink easily into softer substrates.

Like the other products in our construction fasteners range, structural screws are used in a wide variety of construction applications. One of the most popular applications structural screws are used for is in the building of trusses to support roofs. They can also be used on solid-sawn and glued laminated timber. Both of these types of wood are very commonly used in residential and industrial construction projects.

Other applications that can utilise structural timber screws range from flooring and decking to fencing and stairs. In order to cater to many different project types, we offer structural screws in a variety of sizes and pack quantities!
