Thread Lock

Thread lock is the common name for a group of thread locking fluids, a thin type of adhesive that is applied to a particular type of fastener to stop it from becoming loose or from leaking. It can also be used as an anti corrosion treatment. The scientific name for thread lock is Anaerobics.

Types of thread lock

We stock the following different options from Delta adhesives;

Delta D44 Screwlock, D77 Nutlock and D66 Studlock are designed to lock and seal threaded fasteners.

The retaining grades of threadlock that we stock are used to form strong assemblies where bearings, bushes and cylindrical parts are held in their housings or shafts. These are D55 High Strength and D88 High Temperature.

All surfaces must be clean for thread lock to work efficiently, as it works by using the electrochemical activity of the product that it is being applied to.
