Files and Hammers

Here you will find various styles of hammers and sizes of round, half round and flat second cut files. Second cut files are effectively “medium smooth”, sitting between the various grades of coarse and smooth files.

A file is used to remove an amount of material from a piece of work. It has a handle on one end for grasping and the working surface is a hardened steel bar cut with sharp teeth that are usually parallel to each other along the length of the blade.
