Vortex screws are a technically advanced multi-purpose woodscrew that utilises many features such as the “Sawfix” technology, which is excellent for quick and easy power through a wide range of materials such as hardwood, decking, MDF, plastic, and sheet metal.
The Vortex screws have many characteristics, which are as follows:
Pozi drive or Torx drive recess
Sharp milling nibs
Double countersunk head
Sharp, wide & deep thread with “Sawfix” technology
Oblique-angle & sharp gash point
Our unifix Vortex screws are available in a variety of lengths and sizes from 16mm to 200mm and in diameters of 3.5mm to 6mm. They are also offered in two finishes:
Magsho silver coating, Alkaline Copper Quaternary (ACQ) resistant & capable of withstanding 1,000 hour salt spray test (Exterior Pozidrive type only)
Vortex Screws are CE Compliant to EN14592:2008 (meaning that it adheres to European safety directives). All of our packs and tubs in this range are supplied with a free corresponding driver bit.
The recessed double countersunk head on the Vortex screws reduces the likelihood of shearing the head of the screw, which assists the completion of countersinking and increases the overall reliability of the screws.
The screw is easier to drive in and features increased resistance to corrosion thanks to the high-quality zinc and yellow waxed coating.
