Security Machine Screws - Pin Hex Countersunk

About our Hex Countersunk Security Screws

Often abbreviated to Hex Head, Hexagon Heads are found on most common bolts and set screws, this is a six-sided head that requires a socket or spanner to fasten. You can also use a tool called a nut spinner or nut driver to fasten a hexagon head – this is effectively a screwdriver with a socket head instead of a blade or Posi drive end.

Countersunk bolts are used when a flush finish is required, with no part of the screw head protruding above the level of the item being secured.

Our Countersunk Security Machine Screws all have a pin located in the middle of the drive to prevent removal with standard tools, making them excellent tamper-proof screws. We stock a choice of Pin Hexagon or Pin Resistorx 6 lobe drive, and both are available in a stainless-steel finish.

Why use Security Screws?

Security Screws are machine bolts that are generally used to deter removal (often for safety purposes) or to prevent theft. They are commonly found in public conveniences, schools, prisons; on cars, boats, public transport; and in electrical items.

We stock a Security Bit Set that covers all the popular Security Screw head types.
