Furniture fixings are flat-headed Allen key drive screws with M6 threads with varying lengths used for fastening furniture together. They are often seen on cots, beds, garden furniture and can be used with different types of nuts depending on the application.
Alternatively, there are furniture connecting caps which have a female internal thread which would leave an aesthetically pleasing look.
