Our M8 shouldered pattern thumb screws that are fastened by hand feature a raised circular collar between the head and the threaded shaft. The shouldered collar provides a larger bearing surface, which can help distribute pressure more evenly and prevent the screw from sinking too deeply into softer materials when tightened. This 30mm long shouldered pattern thumb screw is often seen in electrical equipment, musical instruments, woodworking, and furniture assembly.
