Hex Set Screws - Metric - Brass

Hexagon set screws, or hex sets to give them their common name, are available in both metric and imperial thread sizes in a wide range of finishes. A set screw differs from a bolt in that the shank is threaded all the way from the tip to the head.

Metric is the most common thread type in production today. Usually specified as M then a number x another number. This signifies the thread diameter and the length of the fastener.

Brass is an alloy that is made of copper and zinc. It does not corrode easily and gives an attractive, decorative finish when used to make fasteners.
