Abrasive Sheets

Our abrasive sheets, sometimes called emery sheets or emery paper, are made from aluminium oxide paper. They are commonly used to sand metal, wood, plastics and rubber by hand.

Whilst aluminium oxide is not as hard and durable as zirconia, it is cheaper to produce. It also works well on a greater diversity of materials when compared to zirconia.

Our abrasive sheets sizes are 230mm x 280mm. They are available in a wide range of grits from coarse to fine, with the grit number increasing in size as the grit gets finer.

Did you know? – aluminium oxide constantly “sharpens” itself as its particles actually degrade during sanding, bringing to the surface new, sharper edges.
